Terms and Conditions

Bill and Jayne Nigh ( the owners) welcome you to our family home. We apply cancellation charges and strongly advise that holiday cancellation insurance is taken out prior to booking with us.

  1. Bookings and Deposits.
    1. For bookings made 28 days or less in advance full payment is required at the time of booking. In the event of a cancellation prior to arrival this is non-refundable. However the owners will endeavour to rebook the accommodation. If successful the guest will receive a full refund less an administration fee of £25.00 and less any discount offered to secure such alternative booking.
    2. For bookings made more than 28 days in advance 50% of the cost is required at the time of booking in order to secure it with the balance payable no less 28 days in advance. In the event of cancellation a full refund will be payable to the guest unless such cancellation is 28 days or less from the arrival date in which case the payment is non-refundable and also the full balance will become immediately payable. The owners will however try to re-book the accommodation. If successful the guest will receive a full refund less an administration fee of £25.00 and less any discount offered to secure such alternative booking.
  2. Payment
    We accept payment by bank transfer, cash or cheque.If you wish to pay by credit or debit card you can do so via our travel partner Red Funnel.
  3. Non-availability of Accommodation
    The owners would only cancel your stay if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond their control. We would however attempt to find you alternative accommodation or offer you a full refund. Our liability to you would not extend beyond this point.
  4. Pets
    The owners welcome dogs subject to prior arrangement. At no time must dogs be left unattended in bedrooms or public areas . Any damage caused by dogs must be paid for.
  5. Takeaways
    Eating take away meals in rooms is not allowed. Sandwiches and drinks are acceptable.
  6. Smoking
    Dunnose Magna B&B has a strict no smoking policy. Smoking in the grounds away from the property is permitted.
  7. Damages and Breakages
    Please take care when staying in our home and report incidents as they occur. We accept minor breakages and damage but may charge for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant and which guests agree can be debited to their credit /debit card.
  8. Liability
    No liability is accepted by the owners for damage, loss or injury to guests or their property unless caused by the negligent acts or omissions of the owners or their employees or contractors acting in the course of their employment.
