The Needles

The iconic image of the famous Needles is the Isle of Wight’s most famous landmark.

The views from the cliff top is breath taking, a chair cable car transports guests from the cliff-top above Alum Bay down to the beach below where you can view the multi-coloured sand cliffs of Alum Bay and the stunning turquoise waters that stretch as far as the eye can see.

This area has an abundance of fascinating history, with stunning geology and fabulous ocean views. The Needles, is situated in an amazing location at the South-Western tip of the Isle of Wight and is truly breath taking with natural landscape, including the famous Needles Rocks & Trinity Lighthouse.

From the beach, you can take a boat ride out to the famous landmark. There are a range of attractions at the park which include the sand shop where visitors can make their own unique coloured sand souvenirs.

They also have a 4D Cinema which draws you into an exciting world where everything you see is in 3D, the cinema has surround sound, which makes you feel like you are right there in the middle of what you see. Alum Bay Glass is also within the complex and is educational as well as fun. Visitors can watch the fascinating art of glass blowing and see craftsmen make a variety of crafted glassware.

At the Sweet factory, you can watch the skilled sweet makers create sweets that you can sample. There is a variety of children’s attractions including a traditional Victorian carousel, Spins and Needles Tea Cup ride, the Spin Cycle and Water Walkerz are also great favourites, not forgetting The Vintage Cars that allows the younger visitors to drive their own car! Their prehistoric adventure Jurassic Golf features a 9-hole course with some 3 and 4 par holes all beautifully set off by imaginative water features and story boards depicting 9 different dinosaur species.
